New low-cost industrial thermometer

Louise Davis

PCE Instruments has launched the infrared thermometer PCE-660, a low-cost model that measures temperatures of -50 to 380°C/-58 to 716°F, at an accuracy of ±4°C, ±2% or ±2°C, depending on the measured temperature. This thermometer is designed to measure very hot or moving objects from a safe distance, like in industrial environments, in the control of electrical systems, in HVAC, etc.

The bright display makes use in dark environments possible. Targeting is very easy with the visible red laser beam. The PCE-660 has an optical resolution of 13:1 and the emissivity can be adjusted between 0.1 and 1.0. To increase the battery life.

It turns off automatically after 15 minutes.
