Software simplifies logging of data

Paul Boughton
Adlink Technology is releasing the AD-Logger, a ready-to-run data capture software application that provides a simple configuration-based means to log data. AD-Logger can be used with any one of hundreds of Adlink data acquisition or digitiser cards to log data from a variety of sensors, including thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, strain gages, accelerometers, etc.

AD-Logger is specifically designed to provide extensive data logging features without the need for complex programming. Users simply configure the Adlink data acquisition or digitiser card functionality via AD-Logger through the use of intuitive and interactive configuration dialogs.

AD-Logger also provides a real-time viewer with basic FFT power spectrum analysis and a historical view. Logged data can additionally be exported to external applications such as NI Labview, NI Diadem and Mathworks Matlab for post-analysis.

James Gau, vice president of the measurement and automation product segment at Adlink, states: "AD-Logger is the ideal tool for reducing the development time of data acquisition applications. This non-programming, configuration-based software meets all common data-logging needs. Combined with Adlink data acquisition and digitiser cards, AD-Logger offers the best time-to-measurement of any data logging solution."

A 30-day free trial version of AD-Logger can be downloaded from the website.
