Tote cleaner enhances hygiene in food industry

US based engineering company CSI Designs has launched a cleaner called Tote that it says offers advanced cleaning and sanitation of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).

The technology has a construction that addresses the growing need for efficient and effective cleaning systems to cope with the rigorous hygiene standards required in food production.

Integrating this equipment into production lines will help enhance hygiene since it is designed with with rounded surfaces to minimise food particle accumulation and crevices where bacteria might proliferate. It also features stainless steel construction and a design that eliminates dead zones, enabling effective cleaning and reducing the risk of cross-contamination.

The technology is equipped with built-in sensors that confirm all contaminants have been thoroughly removed. These features also support traceability and transparency.

The Tote also complies with hygiene regulations in the US, Europe, and the Asia Pacific by adhering to FSMA and HACCP standards, it has also been designed to cope with rigorous audits and checks.

In short, rigorous sanitation protocols and equipment will help with compliance of food and beverage industry standards. This system ensures thorough cleaning, which is crucial for preventing contamination and maintaining food safety.
