Kawasaki Subsea (UK) Limited have been established and organized in Aberdeen, Scotland as a subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., Japan for the purpose of specializing in the Production, sales, and post-sale services, etc. of AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle).

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. have built and delivered submarines since completing construction of Japan’s first submarine and have attained many great achievements in the field of underwater technologies as a pioneer of submarine construction in Japan.

Kawasaki groups aim to apply our technologies to develop a commercial AUV for inspection and maintenance of underwater facilities in the oil & gas, the renewable energy products.

Subsea Precise Inspector with Close Eyes
“SPICE” (Subsea Precise Inspector with Close Eyes) is AUV system with unique subsea docking station, developed by Kawasaki. SPICE is now focused on long distance pipeline inspection. SPICE has a Robot Arm which can realize several closed inspections of pipeline, and non-contact recharging system and high data rate transfer system in underwater. In combination with subsea docking station, SPICE can continue own operation without frequent launch and recovery.
