Alva to debut its TorqStudio at SPS 2025

Alva Industries is set to launch its new advanced online platform, TorqStudio, for custom motor design and analysis, at SPS 2025

Visitors at SPS 2025 will be able to visit Alva at Hall 3, Booth 259, becoming the first to see an exclusive preview of the platform prior to its official release.

TorqStudio was developed in-house at Alva and provides robust motor simulation and design capabilities for engineers, supporting early concept exploration and detailed performance verification before committing to hardware.

Anton Franzén, director of Product Management at Alva, said, "TorqStudio enables engineers to go from concept to viable motor design instantly. It removes guesswork, accelerates decision-making, and unlocks rapid exploration of optimal configurations."

TorqStudio has two core capabilities:

  • Motor Creation: A new way to generate custom motor designs. Users can define their desired motor size, then the platform automatically generates a range of optimised motor variants. Each design involves a different trade-off among motor mass, motor constant, torque capability, and efficiency.
  • Motor Analysis: Deep analytical capabilities for evaluating performance. Users can analyse any motor created within the platform, as well as Alva's standard catalogue motors. Engineers can explore performance at any operating point and assess torque, power, efficiency, thermal implications, and application suitability before prototyping.

TorqStudio is built on Alva's proprietary analytical motor technology, delivering fast computation, precise engineering results, and a streamlined user experience.

TorqStudio enables engineers to evaluate and configure motors digitally without waiting for lengthy simulation cycles or multiple back-and-forth requests.

Nicolas Giraudo, CCO, said, "Our goal with TorqStudio is simple. Give engineers control. Let them design, explore, validate, and innovate at the speed ideas come."
