Stainless steel conduit is easy and quick to install

Anamet Europe is introducing the Anaflex stainless steel conduit system that is said to be fast and easy to install thanks to the use of push-on fittings. Anaflex conduit is manufactured from corrugated stainless steel hose and can withstand temperatures from -70 to +250 degrees C. It is liquid-tight, consists of a continuous tube for excellent EMI/EMP shielding and, when used in conjunction with the Anaflex-Click fittings, achieves a seal to IP69K standard. Furthermore, it is highly resistant to oils, greases and solvents and, should a fire break out, there will be no toxic fumes.
Anaflex is therefore suitable for use in areas that experience higher operating temperatures, such as within the cement industry, brick production, at heat treatment facilities and in metal processing operations.
Using the Anaflex-Click fittings, which are manufactured from nickel-plated brass, fitting Anaflex conduit is very easy: simply cut the conduit to the required length using a pipe-cutter or saw, and thread it over the cable to be protected. Then turn back the nut on the Anaflex-Click fittings by half a turn to release the retaining ring and push the fitting firmly into the conduit until it fits flush against the seal. Finally tighten the nut to ensure it is totally sealed and watertight.
Ed Dickson, the UK sales representative for Anamet, says: "This product is ideal for a wide variety of applications where high-temperature cabling needs to be shielded and mechanically protected. And because the six core components used in the fitting are pre-assembled into just one unit, once the hose is cut to the required length it can be fitted in just seconds, making it ideal to use out in the field."
The Anaflex system is available in three sizes, with an internal diameter of 12.2mm to 20.3mm. Fitting threads are M16, M20 and M25
