Adlink Technology is launching the NuPRO-730, its first PICMG 1.0 full-size single-board computer (SBC) to be validated with an extended operating temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees C, and one of the first SBCs in its class to be based on a mobile CPU and chipset. Combining energy-efficient performance, low power consumption and extended temperature support, Adlink's NuPRO-730 offers IPC distributors and system integrators a low-noise, low-heat-dissipation SBC. It is suitable for factory automation, medical, intelligent transportation systems and military applications. The NuPRO-730 has been successfully applied in rugged portable systems for in-vehicle information terminal systems and mobile test and measurement missions.

Designed around the Intel Mobile Core2 Duo T7500 dual-core processor, Mobile Intel GME965 Express Chipset with integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, and DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM up to 4GB, the NuPRO-730 provides power-efficient computing and excellent graphics performance. With up to 384MB of video memory, the NuPRO-730 supports VGA at up to 2048x1536 resolution and 24-bit LVDS with dual independent display capability.

The NuPRO-730 provides SATA II support for high data transfer rates, one IDE channel shared with Compactflash socket, and a broad range of additional I/O including two 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet port, five USB 2.0 ports, one parallel port, one RS-232 port and one RS-232/422/485 port. For data encryption, the NuPRO-730 features a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to provide hardware-based security to secure data.

Jeffery Shiue, director of the IPC Product Centre of the Industrial Computing Product Segment at Adlink, says: "The NuPRO-730 is an ideal solution for customers who are seeking a combination of low power consumption, integrated graphics performance, and extended temperature support at a modest investment in a single board computer."
