Sintered filter media helps save operating costs

Paul Boughton
A new fibre-based sintering process has allowed the production of a filter medium with the following properties:

- Retention of particles below 2.5 Microns - saving valuable materials.

- High flow rate compared with other technologies - better use of the equipment.

- Long service life - saving service and material costs.

Various customers claim to have saved big amounts of money in products, filter media and equipment productivity. The filter medium has been successful used on, eg rotary drum filters, disc filters, centrifuges and CGR presses.

In order to further simplify the use of this material, a simple device to click together filter cloth for filter presses has been developed.
