Piston membrane pumps

Paul Boughton

Abel's piston membrane pump line design and drive configuration assure high volumetric efficiency combibned with easy maintenance and low energy and operating costs are important features of this pump line.

Pump pressure and flow rate remain practically constant on account of the linear performance curve.

The self-priming pumps can run dry and the flow is variable from 0-100 per cent. It is particularly suitable for continuous heave duty applications involving abrasive, corrosive, viscous or hazardous media.

These versatile pumps can be used in almost all branches of industry - wastewater and chemical industries, pharmaceutical and food industries, refineries and power stations, mining and ceramic, to name but a few.

To provide such application flexibility, Abel provides a broad selection of standard materials. The wetted parts of the pumps are supplied in cast iron, stainless steel, PP. Balls, membranes and valve seats are available as standard in a wide range of customised materials. The pump line is designed for operating pressures up to 10 MPa and capacities up to 500 m3/h.
