Bulk bag discharge station for bulk bags with or without liners

Paul Boughton

A revised design of the Brabender bulk bag discharge station BagMaster is now available for bulk bags with or without liners.

The main feature of this redesign is a novel massage ring mechanism which is derived from the proven FlexWall principle that Brabender has already equipped its metering feeders with for many years.

The massage ring with a front gapwhich also serves as bag support with the bag outlet spout in its middleis equipped with massage rods around its circumference to aid product flow.

For discharge the ringand therefore the bag bottomis pneumatically set into a see-sawing movementwhich makes the rods act on the lower bag sides.

Brabender says that the agitation results in mass flowuniform discharge and complete emptying-out even of the most poorly flowing ingredients.

Brabender also redesigned the optional docking system for connection and tautening of the bulk bag or liner outlet spout.

Now called QCD (quick connect docking) systemit allows dust-tight bag docking.

For metering directly from the bagthe BagMaster is available with a

built-in Brabender FlexWall metering feeder.

Units additionally mounted on load cells can be used as loss-in-weight feeders for continuous or discontinuous gravimetric metering.

Brabender says these versions are frequently used for filling level monitoring.
