SPEKTRA Schwingungstechnik und Akustik GmbH Dresden, Germany was founded in 1994 and has established itself as a renowned manufacturer of components and systems for the testing and calibration of sensors. The products of the family business are used worldwide for the reliable measurement of dynamic physical quantities such as vibration, acceleration, sound pressure or alternating charge.

The product group Calibration Solutions includes various calibration systems, individual exciters and comprehensive services. With the CS calibration systems, SPEKTRA provides a means to cope with all requirements of traceable calibration and efficient laboratory operation in conformance with all applicable standards. Our complete turnkey calibration systems have a modular structure to allow for the calibration of several measurands (acoustics, acceleration, shock, dynamic force, dynamic pressure…) by means of one system and hardware interfaces for the calibration of sensors with digital interfaces (DTI, I2C, CAN...). On top of that, we provide mobile calibration solutions. Our systems are available for primary as well as secondary calibration.

From individual laboratory-scale sensor technology to high­frequency mass production, our Device Testing product group offers TESTelligent solutions for testing and characterization of MEMS sensors. We are very familiar with laboratory environments. Our S-TEST Lab product line enables the system testing of a wide range of sensor types. Because SPEKTRA also thinks big, we have developed our S-TEST Fab equipment for parallel final testing of sensors in mass production. These products enable easy scaling at optimal cost per sensor.

SPEKTRA also includes the APS trademark under which we manufacture and sell long-stroke vibration exciters. APS has been a well-known supplier of modal exciters for over 45 years. In 2008 SPEKTRA and APS joined forces, and together have built a new generation of even stronger vibration exciters and Structural Testing solutions for modal test excitation, low frequency calibration as well as component test.
