Smarter E Europe empowers new energy solutions

Jon Lawson

For a long time now, renewable energy has not just been an alternative to conventional energy sources. It is far more about making the idea of a smart, sustainable and cost-efficient energy supply system a reality. The energy industry is in a state of flux – renewable sources of energy have been firmly established in the energy supply system; generation, storage, distribution and consumption will thus have to interact intelligently and seamlessly in the future. Topics such as digitalisation, decentralisation and sector coupling have moved into the spotlight in the energy industry. The energy world can only promise successful and sustainable development if modern technologies are employed effectively and are combined with other solutions to unfold their full potential.

This is where The smarter E Europe comes in, as a highly valuable innovation hub for empowering new energy solutions, dedicating itself to all topics relevant for the industry. It is a platform where international players in the most influential markets aiming to make a switch from fossil fuel energies to new and clean cross-industry solutions can find information about the special focus points of solar energy, storage systems, energy management and clean mobility. The innovation hub shines a light on all core areas along the entire supply chain.

The smarter E Europe comprises exhibitions, conferences, forums, workshops and other events offering exhibitors, visitors and partners alike a chance to discuss visions and pioneering concepts surrounding the modern energy industry. The platform sets focal points and trends, advances promising developments and promotes an exchange of ideas between industries, in turn making room for innovative power and new business relationships.

The smarter E Europe is bringing together four exhibitions at Messe München from May 15–17, 2019: Intersolar Europe, a leading exhibition for the solar industry; ees Europe, the exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems; Power2Drive Europe, the exhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility; and EM-Power, the exhibition for intelligent energy use in industry and buildings. The whole spectrum of the industry will be covered, offering a comprehensive overview of trends and developments.

Alongside innovative concepts for intelligent and sustainable energy supply, there is also a focus on production technologies, with an entire hall dedicated to this topic for the first time. Additionally, The smarter E Forum will take place on all three days.
