Resin with nanotubes boosts moulding

Nanoledge is launching its Nano In Res Master series range of products. The first in the range, Nano In Res Laminates 1, is a resin that can be used in the sports, aeronautical and automotive markets that require high-performance materials.

Charged with carbon nanotubes using the Nano In technology, Nano In Res Laminates 1 is an innovative resin with excellent mechanical properties.

Frank Bennardi, CEO of Nanoledge, says: The matrices and reinforcements used in the production of composite parts have developed very little in twelve years. Only the 'charge' parameter currently still allows improvements to be made in the performance of composites.

Faced with numerous demands by final users for the softening of materials or resistance to shockwe have developed solutions based on carbon nanotubes: the Nano In Res range”.

The recent descriptions given by Compositecan expert in composite materials with which Nanoledge has just formalised a technical collaborationshows that the use of the Nano In Res Laminates 1 makes a net improvement to the mechanical properties of composite materials. The results showin particularthat Nano In Res Laminates 1 is 50 to 100 per cent more resistant and its mechanical performance is multiplied by 2.5 times compared with a base resin.

The resins in the Nano In Res Master series range can be used in conventional forming processes and they can be packaged as ready-to-use heat-setting resins. Nano In Res Laminates 1 is a resin used in the stratification process. Nanoledge will soon be extending its range to all processes with several formulations.

Nano In Res will also allow the sportsaeronautical and automotive sectors and high-tech electronic products markets to make innovative technological advances and allow the development of new products with improved performance.
