With the latest maintenance releases for the new SeaBat 7125 multibeam sonar, the new features and functions has made the SeaBat 7125 the state-of-the-art sonar system for multiple applications.
By combining the advantages from previous SeaBat sonar systems with the newest technology, the SeaBat 7125 delivers significant survey quality improvements along with time and cost savings for many types of sea operations.
The SeaBat 7125 is the only sonar system on the market to offer dual-frequency operation for ROVs to depths of 6000 metres. It can shift frequency in a matter of seconds, to optimise survey time and flexibility. With dual-frequency technology there is no need to replace or reconfigure the sonar system when a different frequency is required.
The SeaBat 7125 forms 512 equidistant beams to provide exceptionally high data density across the entire swath. This combination maximises productivity by reducing the number of survey lines required to meet IHO standards. If the highest density is not required, the sonar can be switched to 256 equiangular beams to reduce data storage space and processing time.
