Embedded systems consume low power

Paul Boughton

Acrosser Technology is releasing the AR-ES0831 series of embedded systems designed for space-critical applications requiring extreme reliability and ruggedness whether used in low-power-consumption fanless applications or powerful computing projects requiring flexible I/O configuration and long product life support.

The AR-ES0831 series utilises fanless low-power-consumption Intel Celeron M processors of up to 1GHz, or the high-performance Intel Pentium M Processor. Each unit is equipped with two 10/100 LAN ports, two USB ports, four serial communication ports and an audio port. All models are enclosed in rugged, lightweight and compact aluminium chassis.

In addition, a licensed Microsoft Windows XP Embedded OS image can be ported as an option. With the above specification, the AR-ES0831 is an excellent platform to give developers a quick, simple, all-in-one solution for industrial and embedded applications such as point-of-sale, environmental monitoring, ticketing, medical, automotive and more.

Acrosser also offers a tailoring service for the AR-ES0831, enabling customers to choose, for example, a customised front and rear I/O faceplate, colours and dimensions.
