Electrically insulated bearings prevent damages by electro corrosion
For modern electrical machines with high degree of performance and demanding reliability and service life, equipment failures due to electro corrosion could cause significant problems. NKE Austria offers electrically insulated bearings which provide optimum protection against damages by undesirable passage of currents.NKE electrically insulated rolling bearings reliably prevent current discharge. Three versions are available. Bearings with oxide ceramic insulating layers - Applied with plasma technology, the insulation has a guaranteed dielectric strength of at least 1000 V ac or dc.
SQ77: Insulation on the outer ring.
SQ77E: Insulation on the inner ring.
SQ77B (hybrid bearing): Rolling bearing with oxide ceramic rolling elements. Resistance of insulation theoretically indefinte.

NKE manufactures electrically insulated cylindrical roller and deep groove ball bearings in standard sizes with outer ring diameter between 80mm and 400mm. Other bearing types and special sizes are available upon request.
