Who we are

Schlumberger is the world's leading oilfield services company, providing the industry’s widest range of products and services from exploration through production. We are constantly developing products, services, and solutions that optimize customer performance.

As the demand for energy increases so does our need for hardworking, fresh talent to meet the engineering and technical challenges of today’s upstream oil and gas business. Our people invent, design, engineer, and apply technologies that help customers find and produce oil and gas—often in remote and challenging locations. We have countless career opportunities that will let you prove your abilities from your first day of work, and we'll give you the training and support you need to take on our complex engineering and technical challenges

“We encourage fair employment practices worldwide and offer equal opportunities to all our employees.”

We have an impressive history and culture of science and innovation. Founded in 1926, the company takes its name from Conrad and Marcel Schlumberger, brothers who transformed the energy industry with the revolutionary idea of using electrical measurements to map subsurface rock formations. We now offer a complete range of oilfield services from reservoir studies to well completion.

Schlumberger invests more each year in research and engineering (R&E) than all other oilfield services companies combined: USD 1.2 billion in 2012. We have the industry's longest track record of providing leading edge E&P technologies for applications from the reservoir to the surface. It’s an important part of our long-term strategy to support and grow our leadership position. We are equally dedicated to development of our people and have comprehensive training programs in place to help our employees grow and evolve with the company throughout their careers.

Talent search

Strong technical and operational support to the field is vital to the success of any complex operation, especially in remote locations. That means we are always looking for motivated and talented people to join us. One of our greatest strengths is the diversity of our workforce, with men and women of many nationalities and backgrounds working together and sharing common objectives. As a company, we encourage fair employment practices worldwide and offer equal opportunities to all our employees; promotions are based on merit. We also try to take family considerations into account in any decisions about personnel matters or assignments.
