The Valmet DNAe Optimisation Suite
Valmet is launching the Valmet DNAe Optimisation Suite, a scalable software suite of optimisation applications to improve plant performance and operational efficiency
Petri Köykkä, director, Plant Performance Solutions, Energy & Process Systems, Automation Solutions, Valmet, said, “Process optimisation helps reduce variability, improve energy efficiency, and increase throughput while maintaining stable operations. With the Valmet DNAe Optimisation Suite, our customers’ engineering teams can configure and deploy optimisation applications themselves, or work with us, depending on their needs.”
The new solution can improve performance across the entire plant or specific subprocesses. It is suitable for applications in circular processes, hydrogen industries, and traditional chemical and refining operations.
The Optimisation Suite is part of the broader Valmet DNAe journey. The continuous development of new tools, features, and AI capabilities enables Valmet to better support customers, strengthen collaboration with value-added reseller partners and OEMs, and drive sustainable growth in process industries. This latest development helps Valmet continue to build capabilities that enable customers to move toward more autonomous operations.
Valmet DNAe Optimisation Suite supports an iterative optimisation workflow connecting performance monitoring, application design, and operational optimisation. Teams can use dashboards and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement, build and validate models using process data, and deploy advanced control applications to enhance throughput, stability, and efficiency.
The suite enables customers and Valmet specialists to develop and run machine learning models on-premise with database integration and direct connections to control solutions and operational applications.
Valmet DNAe Optimisation Suite can be fully integrated with the Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System to support commissioning and lifecycle management. It can also be delivered as a standalone optimisation layer for plants operating with other control systems.
The suite features a scalable application portfolio covering model predictive control (MPC) and non-linear rule-based methods for advanced process control, virtual sensor capabilities, a calculation library for estimation and online modelling, controller design tools, analytics, and dashboard creation..
