Universally usable operating and display unit for mobile electronics

Bosch Rexroth has expanded its BODAS modular system for mobile electronics with the BODAS Display DI4 operating and display unit, which not only boasts a robust high-resolution colour display but also has freely programmable features.

The new unit is universally suitable for construction machinery, material handling, agricultural and municipal vehicles, and is highly flexible and easy to use.

Designed and developed according to detailed user feedback and practical tests, the DI4 sets new standards in the field of vehicle operation with an ergonomic and symmetrical design that decisively improves its handling.

Standalone or integrated in the dashboard, the unit can be rotated in 90-degree steps meaning all of the symbols are readable in any position. Its intuitive nature means the unit is easy to service with no need to rely on external service tools.

In addition, the unit offers extensive individual visualisation and allocation of functions through the CODESYS development environment. Other features include an ambient light sensor which adjusts the brightness of the backlight depending on its environment, as well as two hard keys for fixed functions and 12 freely programmable buttons on the surface screen - this allows the driver to intuitively use the device, without any visual contact to the control panel by a push button.

BODAS DI4 meets the demands of a range of vehicle operators and is available in two different versions, standard or professional. The standard version has one USB interface as well as numerous analogue and digital inputs and outputs. The Pro Version has a touch display, allowing swipe-through functions and Ethernet and will also have a Bluetooth interface in the future.
