Top ranking in pipeline design

In 2018 the ENR global sourcebook published its 77th ranking for top international design firms. Once more, ILF Consulting Engineers was able to secure its position as a Top International Design Firm for Pipelines. By being ranked number 6 in 2018, ILF was furthermore able to improve its position, compared to rank number 10 in 2016.

Founded in 1967, pipeline projects have played an important role in the ILF Group ever since. ILF’s first project was the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL), a one-of-a-kind project which, due to the crossing of the Alps, was probably the most difficult pipeline project in the world at that time.

For more than 50 years, ILF Consulting Engineers continuously established its role as a trusted advisor and global player for the designing and engineering of demanding and challenging major pipeline projects. Sometimes it had to break new ground to find the optimum solution and as such, it designed some of the largest pipeline systems in the world. Thereby, ILF supported its customers with individualised solutions from planning to decommissioning. Whether it was in extreme mountain terrains, under challenging weather conditions or over large distances.

Amongst others, ILF was involved in the Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline Project (ADCOP), the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline Project (TAP), the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP), Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline (TAGP), the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline, the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline and the Nord Stream 2, connecting Russia with Germany.
