Digital load cells for filling and metering applications are exposed to especially harsh ambient conditions including long-term moisture, for example in the food production and process industry. Now weighing technology specialist HBM Test and Measurement (HBM) is offering the completely redesigned FIT5A digital load cell to meet these requirements.
With its hermetically sealed measuring body made of stainless steel, the FIT5A is available with IP ratings IP68 and IP69K. The load cell has integrated overload protection, allowing it to reach a limit load of 1,000%. The FIT5a is legal for trade according to OIML R60 and guarantees reliable measurement results in legal-for-trade applications.
The FIT5A digital load cell is available in various versions with maximum capacities up to 50kg. An enhanced version is able to control complete batching processes without an additional PLC. The integrated electronics provide powerful filters, dosing parameters for coarse and fine flow and a self-learning algorithm that reduces dosing time to a minimum.
