Littelfuse Inc has introduced the SLD Series TVS Diode for automotive and high reliability applications. This AEC-Q101 qualified TVS Diode is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events. It offers a 5000W (10/1000μs) or 2200W (load dump) peak pulse power dissipation rating in a standard P600 package.

The SLD Series’ combination of compact design and superior electrical performance offer circuit designers the freedom to upgrade their circuit protection in their existing design footprint or provide more robust load dump protection for new projects.

Applications for SLD Series TVS Diodes include DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics like ECU, TCU, BCM, sensors and entertainment systems, as well as in other long pulse applications that require high reliability.

The SLD Series TVS Diode offers these key benefits:

* Meets international standards of the automotive industry, which makes it ideal for protective sensitive automotive systems from load dump and other transient voltage events;

* AEC-Q101 qualified with a junction temperature (Tj ) up to 175°C ensures maximum reliability in automotive and high reliability applications;

* Compact footprint of the industry-standard  P600 package allow quick and easy layout in high reliability applications;

* Both uni-directional and bi-directional polarity devices offer from 10V to 60V standoff voltage, fulfilling all design requirements for automotive applications.
