The Micronics PF330 in use

Suez Water Treatment Services has its head office in Peterborough but operates globally across 5 continents so a portable and simple to use instrument offered the perfect solution. Suez were using an alternative flowmeter and were recommended the Micronics units. They found them to be more econimical, and following the initial success ordered a further 4 units.

The PF330 is one of a range of portable meters which are ideal for initial investigations to help build a picture of what’s going on or for use at multiple sites. For example, Suez uses their PF330’s around the country and as far afield as Norway. And as a next stage Micronics can provide fixed clamp-on solutions such as the U1000 or 3000 to deliver cost-effective measurement and monitoring for ongoing applications. The flowmeters are non-invasive for closed pipe application, which means no interruption to process and no downtime when the units are installed or maintained.

Suez works with its customers to restore and conserve the planet's fundamental elements - water, air and soil. Gary Graham, Suez’ Area Manager for Field Services, was delighted with the recommendation. “These meters are much quicker and cheaper to install because there is no need to cut into pipes - the system does not need to be drained down or pipes cut into - which means that installation costs and lead times are minimal. Because it is configured for pipe size there is only nominal configuration on site. Furthermore, the accuracy of the data delivered is outstanding and its operation has proved to be simplicity itself.”
