New connector for Argus switches

Jon Lawson

Pyropress has enhanced it’s range of intrinsically safe Argus switches with the introduction of a new M12 connector for both the stainless steel and engineering polymer-bodied versions.

Argus switches can be used for the measurement and control of rotating machinery such as gas turbines, diesel and gas engines, compressors and pumps. The range of switches is designed for various applications with many models to suit different certification types, ingress protection, required operating points and maximum system pressures, for example.

Manufactured by Pyropress in Plymouth, UK, the switches are available with Exia ATEX/IECEx certification for hazardous area applications. There is also an industrial version enabling one range of switches to be used for all applications.

The Argus range is available with a corrosive-resistant robust PPS (engineering polymer) case or 316 stainless steel cast, both possessing a versatile rating of IP66/IP67.
