Designed to meet the demands of the food, pharmaceutical, and water treatment industries

Specialists in innovative sensor technology, ifm, has launched its SU Puresonic Hygienic ultrasonic sensor, created to meet the demands of the food, pharmaceutical, and water treatment industries

The SU Puresonic is designed to detect flows of both conductive and non-conductive media with enhanced accuracy. From ultrapure water to food oils, the sensor can reliably perform across a wide range of applications.

With a stainless steel measuring tube free of seals, moving parts, or internal measuring elements, the SU Puresonic prevents issues such as blockages, pressure drops, and leaks, ensuring uninterrupted operation and long-term reliability.

The SUHxx clamp process connection is compliant with DIN 32676 standards, enabling quick, tool-free installation or replacement. Its design reduces dead spaces, allowing efficient cleaning and sterilisation (CIP/SIP) processes vital to hygienic environments.

The SU Puresonic Hygienic series provides expanded capabilities, such as a broader range of nominal widths (DN15 to DN100) and a temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, with resistance up to 150°C for short durations. These features result in a versatile solution for diverse industrial needs. The SU Puresonic meets strict hygiene requirements with a surface roughness of ≤ 0.4 µm on wetted surfaces, ensuring optimal performances in applications where precision and cleanliness are crucial.
