In 2016, Akuo Energy commissioned AET for the supply of a biomass boiler, steam turbine, condenser and connection to the Gemdoubs paper mill for the Cogénération Biomasse de Novillars (CBN) plant. Now the project is going live, with AET staying on with a 17 year maintenance contract.
The Bureau Veritas has tested the site to ensure local emissions, power and noise requirements have been met.
The testing included various operational situations, proving that it can handle changes in fuel quality, plant load as well as a rapidly changing steam consumption from the paper mill.
