ABB has signed a five-year agreement with Shell to become its global single-source supplier of low-voltage switchgear, motor control centres and related services.

"This global agreement demonstrates that ABB’s commitment to provide premium low-voltage solutions and services creates value for a global company such as Shell, focused on safety, reliability and energy efficiency,” said Tarak Mehta, head of ABB’s Low Voltage Products division.

The five-year global agreement, with an option for an additional five-year extension, covers the sales, support and service of low-voltage switchgear and motor control centres across both IEC and NEMA geographies for greenfield and brownfield sites.

ABB’s Low Voltage Products division is a leading provider of protection, control and measurement solutions for a wide range of electrical installations, enclosures, switchboards, electronics and electromechanical devices across all major industries.
