Digital event recorder with four voltage or volt-free inputs

Paul Boughton

Audon is introducing the S7841 four-channel digital event recorder for recording the date and time when any of the four inputs changes state. The inputs can be volt-free contacts, such as door contacts or machine switches, or voltage signals. Data can then be downloaded to a PC for storage and analysis. An LCD display indicates the current sate of the logger.

The S7841 is a standalone device, and the replaceable internal battery typically lasts four years. Up to 16,254 events can be recorded per input, and spikes of less than 0.5 second are ignored to prevent false results being recorded.

Data download is via a RS232, USB or an Ethernet connection.
