With more than 1000 offshore cranes in the field, Liebherr has a great wealth of experience. We steadily optimise our products and identify new demands. Considering the latest trends and customer’s feedbacks from all around the world we increase our offshore crane range. With the CBO series, Liebherr proudly introduces its seventh offshore crane series to the market. The series supplements the advantages of the existing product portfolio and widen the field of applications our cranes are made for.

To meet different needs of customers the compact board offshore crane series comprises several models with different crane configurations. This concerns the boom length, lifting capacity and other crane features. With a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes the CBO series is appropriate for general purpose applications in the oil and gas industry. Being compact the new series fulfils the requirements for maintenance and supply work wherever operating radius and space on deck is restricted. Crane replacement supplements this scope.

The series get their designation from the compact structure. The tail swing radius is extremely small. Less than 4 metres are required by the crane. It makes the crane an optimum solution for installations with tight space conditions. Due to their design the cranes can be mounted very close to the legs of a jack-up platform for example.

The crane is based on the well-proven lattice boom structure with A-frame, rope luffing and slewing bearing system. An unobstructed optimised view to the load will be ensured by the central positioned cabin. Another benefit of this series is the innovative maintenance concept. Irrespectively of the availability of spare parts this concept reduces the downtime of the crane. Furthermore flexibility with regards to the maintenance work will be increased.
