AGRO AG

Solutions for the industry

AGRO AG presents an innovative, pioneering and extensive portfolio of cable glands and accessories for the machinery, plant and equipment manufacturing industry. At its centre is the multi-variant Progress® product range, whose groundbreaking compression technology ensures excellent sealing performance and effective strain relief. Progress® cable glands are available in a variety of designs – and of lead-free brass as required – with 360° shield contact or with multiLAYER sealing inserts. These are supplemented by the Syntec® product range with its segmental ring technology for cable gripping. The modular design enables small-quantity customer-specific requirements to be met cost-effectively and at short notice. AGRO also supplies certified versions of such products for use in explosion protection zones, rail vehicles and drinking water applications. The innovative EVolution EMC cable gland, developed by the manufacturer for the e-mobility sector, offers 360° shielding. AGRO's product range also includes the world's first adapter plate for the feed-through of cables in rail vehicles. Highly robust multi-cable entries, pressure balance elements, and cable protection conduits of plastic or metal, round off the portfolio.

Setting a new standard for EMC cable glands in e-mobility applications. AGRO’s EVolution EMC cable gland:

The compact EVolution EMC cable gland, the first with a disconnectable ("pluggable") shield contact solution, is used for cable feedthroughs in hybrid or fully electric vehicles. According to the manufacturer, it not only meets the most demanding requirements in terms of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), but is also very quick to install and proves to be robust, effective, durable and reliable in all operating situations.

Progress® EMC easyCONNECT of A2 stainless steel – a new addition to our product range. Quick, safe and convenient installation thanks to an innovative contact spring.

  • FPM sealing insert

  • Very high chemical resistance

  • Wide temperature range: -40˚C / +200˚C

  • Stainless steel A2

Innovative multilayer technology for more protection and safety. Multilayer synthetic protective conduit ROHRflex® PA12+ and PA12F+.

  • Very good dynamic properties

  • Extremely durable and abrasion resistant

  • Excellent sliding properties allows easy easy retraction of cables and wires

  • For more protection and safety (abrasion indicator)

AGRO multi-cable entries in various designs

The new front-mounted multi-cable entries facilitate the robust and reliable feed-through of multiple cables in a single unit. In developing these new solutions, AGRO has used the company’s well-proven sealing technology which is based on over 65 years of cable gland experience.

AGRO pressure balance elements of A4 stainless steel. The impact-resistant innovation with high-performance membrane

  • A4 stainless steel (EN 1.4404 / AISI 316L) withstands harsh environmental conditions and corrosive environments such as seawater

  • High impact resistance in accordance with EN IEC 62262 in the highest class, IK10

  • Exceptionally wide temperature range, from -40°C to +150°C

  • The high-performance membrane facilitates rapid air exchange

  • Very high degree of protection: IP 66 / IP 68 (0.5 bar / 1h) / IP 69 / IP 6K9K

Syntec® façade feedthrough. Easy to install and seals effectively without thermal bridges

The innovative solution for windows and façades. For the first time, the “pluggable” Syntec® façade feedthrough (with push-in connection) now makes it possible to feed cables through the building envelope, thus ensuring proper sealing and avoiding the formation of thermal bridges via a system that can be quickly installed externally.

This enables electrical equipment such as window blinds and shades, lighting and monitoring systems, as well as sensors of any sort, to be easily connected to the building’s internal cable network.
