Card for analysis and control applications

With its new FR-IB100/PCIe, IXXAT offers a high-performance interface card for FlexRay analysis and control applications as well as for the analysis of FlexRay start-up behaviour (asynchronous analysis mode). The card features an on-board 32 bit microcontroller system and two FlexRay channels (2 x 10 Mbit) with a Freescale MFR4310 protocol chip and provides a 100 ns time stamp resolution.

The FR-IB100/PCIe can be used in desktop PCs at laboratory workstations as well as in industrial computer systems, eg at test benches. Due to the compact design, the card can also be installed in low profile cases. Drivers for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (each 32/64 bit) are included in delivery.

Customer-specific applications can be programmed using C++ or .NET. Example applications in C++ and C# facilitate getting started. In addition, IXXAT offers the multibusAnalyser, a powerful tool for analysis and stimulation of FlexRay devices and systems.

For users upgrading from CAN to FlexRay, a FlexRay configuration tool is included in the scope of delivery enabling an easy control of the large number of FlexRay communication parameters.

Once a few parameters, such as cycle time, length and number of messages, have been entered, the tool automatically calculates the dependent parameters and creates a file for the configuration of the FlexRay protocol chip. Users who own a FIBEX file from the FlexRay network can configure the card directly by means of the configuration data from the FIBEX file.
