Transducers cope with ultra-high pressures

Paul Boughton
Ultra-high-pressure measurements at elevated temperature in, for example, autoclaves or burst pressure measurement applications, require particularly robust transducers.

Although pressure transducers from the standard RDP range can routinely handle 50,000 to 60,000psi, but the company says that it can also supply transducers for applications in which pressures are in the order of 100,000psi. Offering very high accuracy and high resolution, with versions for gauge or absolute pressure for fluids or gas, these pressure transducers are typically of stainless steel construction with a 4-20mA output.
