A new EX series of permanent magnet servomotors from Parker SSD Parvex is designed for use in hazardous atmospheres. Featuring robust, explosion-proof housings, the EX motors are capable of bearing internal explosions with no risks of propagation to the neighbouring environment. Two versions are available, allowing compliance with either European or North American safety standards.
Based on an innovative ten-pole design, the EX servomotors are characterised by an excellent motion quality, high capabilities in terms of acceleration and deceleration, and high torque values over a wide speed range. Various winding configurations are available for maximum versatility. Furthermore, tailored torque/speed characteristics can be specified to meet specific application requirements.
