AchemAsia 2010: process engineering community meets

Paul Boughton
The eighth AchemAsia 2010 will take place from 1st-4th June 2010 in Beijing, China. As the most international event of its kind in Asia, the exhibition congress offers the global process industry a chance to forge new contacts and present their cutting-edge developments to the ever-expanding Asian markets.

The target groups are all sectors that offer or apply equipment, technologies, solutions and know-how for the chemical industry, the pharmaceutical and food industries, biotechnology, the environmental protection sector and related branches of the process industries.

The new location in the China National Convention Center has excellent transport links and state-of-the-art exhibition facilities. New, simplified rates enable exhibitors to tailor their presentations to suit their budget. Several countries support participation in AchemAsia by organizing, for example, joint stands. Representative offices in Beijing, China and Seoul, South Korea act as regional centres for Asian exhibitors and visitors.

Both the congress and the exhibition pick up on quintessential trends: Sustainable Production, The Process Industries' Contribution to Secure Energy Demand, Advanced Materials, Industrial Water Treatment, Biotechnology, Innovative Products and Services, and Laboratory Automation are among the central themes of the Congress.

The exhibitors present practical solutions to these themes in 13 different exhibition groups from Chemical Apparatus and Plant Construction to Development of New Resources through to Laboratory and Analytical Techniques, and Packaging and Storage Techniques. Practice-oriented workshops and business sessions smooth the way for face-to-face dialogue with potential partners.
