Nexcom is launching a powerful new fanless industrial computer specifically for graphics-intensive applications such as video streaming, image processing, visual inspection and face/feature recognition. Utilising the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, the rugged NISE 3140 delivers exceptional graphics performance with impressive rates of data transfer. In addition to the platform's high levels of performance, the NISE 3140 retains all the other benefits of a proven Industrial Computer System including outstanding reliability and long-term support.

Based on the Intel GM45 and ICH9M chipsets, the NISE 3140 is highly scalable, supporting a wide variety of Intel Core 2 Duo and Celeron CPU's. In line with market trends, the NISE 3140 boasts a number of innovative features, including dual channel DDR3 memory, Gigabit Ethernet LAN connection, auto-direction control on RS485 and optional IEEE1394b interface. In addition, the NISE 3140 is capable of supporting dual independent display with Dual VGA, VGA/DVI or VGA/ dual 24-bit LVDS outputs.

For additional versatility, the NISE 3140 supports a wide range of voltage inputs from 16V to 30V DC and offers a multitude of I/O interfaces including two Gigabit LAN, six USB, four serial ports and an optional GPIO interface. This high-performance industrial PC is available in two formats: the standard NISE 3140 platform has expansion via PCI, while the NISE 3140e has PCIe.

Housed in a robust aluminium chassis, the fanless design of the NISE 3140 makes for noise-free, ultra-reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. In addition, the NISE 3140 supports various embedded operating systems including Windows CE, Windows XP embedded and Linux.
