Portable welding solution

The Caddy Arc 251i is the latest update of the Caddy range of portable welding power sources from ESAB, the leading welding equipment manufacturer.

The Caddy Arc 251i is a robust and durable welding tool for professional welders designed for all-weather outdoor use capable of handling repairs, maintenance and fabrication work in shipbuilding, offshore, power generation and process industries.,

Features include adjustable hot-start to help avoid starting problems, adjustable arc force for improved weld quality, and electrode type selection to suit weld material.

Weighing just 10.5kg the machines are easy to carry with robust, impact-resistant polymer casings. Large heat sinks and clever design allows cool running to give long life of these machines.

Two control panels are available for the Caddy Arc 251i. Both have digital displays and remote control functions. They are easy to set even when wearing gloves. The Caddy A32 panel provides MMA or TIG welding with ESAB's LiveTig start, while the more advanced Caddy A34 panel also offers hot start and arc force control to fine-tune welding, electrode type selection and two memory positions for storing of settings.

In MMA mode the Caddy Arc 251i supplies direct current for welds of most metals including alloy and non-alloy steel, stainless steel and cast iron. Excellent welding performance is achieved using all types of electrodes from 1.6 to 5mm diameter, basic, rutile, cellulosic and high recovery.

The units are fitted with ESAB's latest regulator, ArcPlus II that provides an easily controlled, intense but smooth and stable arc. It generates smaller droplets with less spatter and the arc burns smoothly so there is no need to pause at the end-edges when weaving.
