Fatigue-rated load cells with 2.0mV/V output

Futek Advanced Sensor Technology is now offering a version of its LCF700 fatigue-rated pancake load cells with a 2.0mV/V output.

This model, known as the LCF701, can also be provided with a tension base. These load cells are primarily used in inline applications on actuators or threaded assembles.

Futek currently carries these models in 1.0mV/V output as a standard but can provide the new 2.0mV/V output on request. Engineering manager Richard Walker comments: “Futek plans on phasing out the 1.0mV/V standards over the next 18 months, making the 2.0mV/V output a standard.”

In addition to the high output, the pancake load cells are built for long fatigue cycles, and their stainless steel structures makes them suitable for use in harsh environments. Options for amplified versions and threading are also available.

Futek also provides a standard calibration service in compression (free of charge) for these pancake load cells in compliance with NIST-traceable standards. A NIST-traceable calibration certificate for the product is then issued, which is accessible for review online using the sensor serial number. Futek has an ISO17025:2005 A2LA accredited laboratory that can also provide additional calibration options such as a complete system calibration when an instrument is selected with the load cell.

Futek carries over 25 different pancake load cell models and over 400 products covering various load cell, torque sensor, force sensor and pressure sensor applications. With its in-house machine shop and experienced research and development team, Futek can modify existing standard products or completely customise a design in line with customers' requirements.
