A new addition to Aimtec’s unregulated AM2DS-Z series of 2 watt power supplies features continuous short circuit protection with auto recovery restart and 5200VDC Isolation. The restart feature works continuously until the short circuit condition is cleared. This protects the converter, the load, and the converter’s input circuit from extremely high currents due to a short circuit.
Supported input voltages of 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC convert to single output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12 and 15VDC and to dual output voltages of ±5, ±9, ±12, ±15 & +15/-9VDC. Operating within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (derating at 65°C), the AM2DS-Z series is designed with a very small isolation capacitance (10pF, typ) and can be integrated into a multitude of applications, such as digital circuits, low frequency analog or relay drive circuits.
Available in a compact SIP7 package (19.5 x 10.0 x 7.2mm), the AM2DS-Z is offered now with input output isolation of 5200VDC for easy integration in industrial, telecommunication and computer applications.
