Petroleum show set to be pivotal showcase for innovation in industry

An anticipated 1500 exhibitors and 50 000 visitors from 85 countries will gather in CalgaryCanada for the largest petroleum show in the world – the Global Petroleum Show (13th–15th June 2006).

Encompassing 550 000 net square feet at Stampede Parkthe Global Petroleum Show provides a world-class showcase for technologyproducts and services in the areas of exploration and production and transportation of oil and gas.

The Global Petroleum Show is world-renowned for its large ‘life-size’ outdoor displays of drillingproductionprocessing equipment and service vehicles.  In addition to the outdoor displaysthere will be five halls displaying the latest in oil and gas technology and innovative service solutions.

Accompanying the vast array of displays is the GPS Speaker Series and Keynote Luncheons. These presentations will involve business planningforecastsand project updates from leading executives from around the world. As wellthe Leading Technology Theatre at the World Oil Centre Stage will highlight case studies detailing the latest advancements in the industrypresented by some of the world’s software and technology specialists. Microsoft will stage its own  Technology Pavilion that showcases 20 technology partners for an innovative and intimate look at the latest software available for the oil and gas industry.

The first stop for International visitors should be the Alberta International Business Centre – a destination for information on how to do business in Alberta. On Thursday15th JuneAlberta Economic Development and the Canadian Heavy Oil Association will host a Heavy Oil Opportunities Forum featuring representatives from ChinaRussiaBrazilCanada and India to discuss supplydemandand the future of global
energy with respect to heavy oil.

A large part of the Global Petroleum Show is the ability to network with professionals from all across the globe. On Wednesday14th Junethousands of visitors will gather in the Nashville North tent for an Industry Reception and the chance to meet colleagues and potential clients.

Throughout the three-day eventthere are countless opportunities to meet and greet at the myriad of receptionsconferencesluncheonsseminars and meetings that will be held during the Show.
