Justrail.net the specialist recruitment site for Rail Professionals has launched its SMS job alert service, which includes Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile (Virgin & One2One) and Orange networks. qqqThe service has been introduced in partnership with Mobtastic, one of premier suppliers of SMS services in the UK.

The new service will add value to Justrail.net which offers job-hunters an easy way to be alerted when new jobs matching their search profile are advertised.
Anthony Bradley, Group Marketing Manager, says of the introduction of the service: "With so many quality Rail Jobs out there, we want to make it as easy as possible for rail professionals to find out about the jobs which our clients are advertising with Justrail.net.
"SMS offers an ideal service, letting rail professionals know about new vacancies without the need to log onto their PC which can be difficult for them during the working day."
Bradley adds: "Almost 90 per cent of Justrail.net members have already signed up for our email alert service and so the potential for SMS is huge.
"We see the expansion of SMS as part of our continuing drive to provide the best value and service to both our advertisers and jobseekers."
The service works as follows: subscribe to SMS service. Log on to the member home page.
In the SMS Alerts section members will find the unique needed to text to 82280, from the mobile phone. Identify which Jobs By Email required to receive SMS alerts for.
Set up a new Jobs By Email string or edit an existing one and tick the SMS Alert box. Once set up your SMS Alerts are clearly identified on your member home page in the Jobs By Email section.
After filling in a simple online form, the company register preferences onto the system and whenever the system receive a job that matches these preferences it will send a short message with the essential information about the position as in the examples:

Justrail.net sends the job title that matches the SMS Alert and its ID value, as above. When the member next accesses the Internet, use the Job Search section of the member home page to enter the SMS Alert ID that will give full details of the vacancy including how to apply.
Bradley continues: "We are giving the service away initially to show our members that the service works, after that there will be a charge of 25p per SMS.
"We will be running promotions throughout the year giving free access to the service and also allowing members to gain free credits by using the Justrail.net site."
