Karen Bergmans, from SPX Power Team, outlines the company's product range and services for the rail industry.

Aleading supplier of quality hydraulic equipment in the USA for 75 years, SPX Power Team has been represented in Europe since 1989. We have a well established network of dealers in every country within Europe that can usually supply from stock.
SPX Power Team's extensive product range is used in every branch of industry, but is particularly in demand in road construction and hydraulic engineering, the automobile industry, in workshops, on the railway, in mining and in bridge construction. The products are divided into the following main product groups: cylinders, pumps, valves, pullers, workshop tools, hydraulic and mechanical tools and accessories.
Especially for the rail industry we have developed the universal Railroad Axle Journal Roller Bearing Puller/Installer. With the proper equipment and know-how, removal and installation of axle journal roller bearings takes an absolute minimum of time and effort.
It is simple in use: remove the end caps, slip the pulling shoe between the bearing and wheel, actuate the pump, and in seconds, 100 tons of pulling force removes the bearing; and installing new ones is just as easy.
SPX Power Team's concept to our design ideas on development has been to achieve two important factors: product reliability and consistency. To explain, as our product range has been developed over these years we have managed to ensure that all of our older units that are still out in the marketplace could still be repaired today using newly designed components or assemblies instead of having to completely replace the old version unit.
While doing this, we have developed the performances of our equipment by using advanced materials, manufacturing methods and design features. This design principle has helped create a superior quality range of equipment that has earned the respect of engineers, end-users and distributors world-wide.

In recent years, our engineering team in the US have been working closely with our technical staff in Europe to ensure that all products meet or exceed European community directives. These CE requirements have specifically applied to electric motor driven pumps and the process of providing a full compliment of units that meet these specifications is in it's final phase of completion. SPX Power Team supplies a Letter of Incorporation or a Declaration of Conformity and CE Marking for products that conform to EC directives.
No matter where you are in the world, SPX Power Team has a highly trained distributor near you to offer supply, support and advice on our products.
