AMEC wins £163m oil and gas project extension

AMEC plc, the international engineering and project management company, has had a major project managementconsultancy services contract renewed by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). The contract is worth approximately £163m over the next five years.

The contract covers consultancy services in project management, front-end engineering and related activities for KOC’s upstream oil and gas assets in Kuwait. It continues the work carried out under a previous project management and engineering contract, which ran from 2004 to 2007. AMEC will continue to manage KOC capital projects in Kuwait, where KOC is developing new oil fields and expanding the existing fields. Services will include project management, co-ordination, planning,design, engineering, construction management, contracting and project controls.
