Grippers offer strokes of up to 300mm per jaw

Schunk is adding two new models to its PFH family of long-stroke grippers, with strokes of 250 and 300mm per jaw. These two new sizes have a gripping force of 2200N, can be equipped with fingers up to 750 and 900mm long, and are extremely sturdy.

Drive and guide elements are protected against the ingress of dirt by means of a three-layered sheet metal cover combined with a roller belt cover.

The high gripping force is provided by a drive with two stationary piston rods, synchronised with a rack-and-pinion arrangement. The low internal friction makes the gripper highly efficient with little wear. End position dampening enables high movement speeds and short movement times to be achieved.

Typical applications for the large PFH grippers include automated production facilities where heavy components or assemblies need to be manipulated.
