The advantages of lasers

Laser soldering is suitable for applications which demand a strictly defined control of the process.

It is a non-contact soldering method which has numerous advantages, especially for selective soldering arrangements, containing: thermally sensitive components; sensitive substrates, such as flexprints, ceramics or other special carrier materials; work pieces with unusual geometric shapes or in difficult-to-access locations.
This process utilises an accurately controlled laser beam to transfer light energy to a soldering point or line where it is absorbed, generating a measured quantum of heat.
