Solutions for the PXI platform

Virginia Panel Corporation (VPC) has developed solutions for the PXI platform such as low and medium I/O Receivers and ITAs, Vertical Hinged Mounting Frames, PXI cable assemblies and PCB adapters for COTS cable connections.

The 2, 6, 10 and 18 Module Solutions are suitable for PXI applications and combine multiple cards into one interface. In addition to the smaller I/O solutions, VPC has 5U Vertical Hinged Mounting Frames that attach directly to the chassis with flanges or can be rack mounted to suit the application. The latest mounting frame design supports both 3U and 6U cards and allows easy access to PXI instrumentation.

VPC has developed the S6 and G12 solutions for low-medium I/O requirements as well. The G12 comes equipped with a platform to support in-circuit and bed of nails fixtures. The S6 is similar in format, but the platform is an optional configuration. Both the S6 and G12 allow modules to be mounted horizontally instead of vertically and have many accessories that can be incorporated such as a keyboard tray kit and slide kits.

The VPC’ s PXI Configurator provides a solutions worksheet where you can select the manufacturer and PXI card and get the VPC cable assembly, mating ITA modules, and patchcords. VPC is constantly adding to the configurators new cable solutions for PXI cards become available.
