RoHS compliant connectors offer a tri-valent chromium plating

DdK’s DMS series connectors were originally designed for use in fixed or mobile military equipment, chosen due to their high reliability and low cost. Over the years, they have been incorporated into other fields, such as machine tools, robotics, and on trucks, buses ships and aircraft.

This series is inter-mating able and inter-mountable with MIL-C-5015 connectors. The DMS series offers hard dielectric internal (diallyl phthalate), with a zinc plated die cast aluminium shell, to give olive drab chromate finish, no cadmium is used.

The range has expanded over the past few years, such that a full product offering is available in both non-RoHS and RoHS compliant versions. The new RoHS compliant version offers a tri-valent chromium plating, resulting in a black finish. DDK are one of the few companies to offer RoHS compliant circular connectors.

A selection of over 73 insert arrangements spanning 12 shell sizes and five contact sizes is available, complete with, pre-solder cup terminations. The DMS series connectors are designed for use in a wide range of general industrial applications.

A choice of over 73 insert arrangements, plus a variety of shell styles and hardware, results in a range of configurations to meet most application needs. Shells can be keyed to prevent mis-mating. Receptacle key and plug keyway mate before contacts engage to ensure proper contact mating.

DDK is shortly to release of its reverse bayonet series of connectors. This new series is to be aimed at satisfying the growing market for connector within the passenger transportation market, whereby applications such as trains, trams and buses all use increasing interconnect solutions to allow many new features to be incorporated within all areas of these vehicles.
