Competent development partner for customised industrial solutions

Be it machine and equipment construction, industrial or rail vehicles, watercraft, conveyor technology or agriculture – ContiTech knows the markets of nearly all sectors, and is a competent partner for specific industrial solutions. And with innovative products, ContiTech continually expands the limits of technical feasibility in all sectors.

To ensure that customers in the Asian region also have access to proven technology, Conti-Tech Fluid Technology has set up a production line for industrial lines in the ContiTech Fluid Grand Ocean plant in Changchun (PRC). ContiTech Techno-Chemie is addressing the enormous growth in the Industrial Lines segment in Germany as well by investing in a new, larger plant in the vicinity of the German capital.

The Changchun plant supplies construction equipment manufacturers and suppliers of primary equipment to industry – like Atlas Copco, Atlas Terex and Linde.

Thanks to the space gained, a CNC bending centre could be set up. In this centre, hydraulic tubes up to 60mm in diameter and a maximum of 6m in length are bent for excavators and other industrial applications. At the new plant in Hoppegarten, a separate production station was also set up for the ‘Total Line Care’ concept, highlighting ContiTech Fluid Technology’s standing as a full-service provider for the installation of tubing and hose lines in construction machines.

Retention of high dynamic loadability under limited space requirements over a long service life – these are the kind of requirements a modern mounting concept is expected to satisfy. With its recognised SCHWINGMETALL, MEGI and Rotafrix brands, ContiTech Vibration Control is very much in synch with the demands of the market, launching two highly promising hydromounts for more dynamic performance in industrial applications: the SCHWINGMETALL V1500 and K2000 hydromounts. They are suited for engine and cab suspension on industrial, construction-site and agricultural vehicles. Both of the mounts have a distinctly compact design, and their integrated hydraulic unit is maintenance-free and does not require any separate attachment points. The mounts feature integrated rebound stops.

The ContiTech Power Transmission Group has three new heavy-duty timing belts in its product range: The CONTISYNCHROFORCECXP delivers even better power transmission and wear resistance thanks to its new fibre glass tension member and new fabric. Like that of its predecessor, this belt’s material is based on a polychloroprene elastomer. A new bonding system enables the belt to bear much higher loads. The CONTISYNCHROFORCECXP is thus a universal problem solver for high-speed drives, from miniature railway through to textile machinery applications.

Another newcomer is the CONTISYNCHROFORCECXA.
This belt has been designed using a special elastomer and duromer (hard plastic) combination. The new N-DURO compound increases residual tear strength and thus the belt’s overall life, making it the ideal solution for slow-running drives where high torques are transmitted. In addition, the CONTISYNCHROFORCECXA features a new fabric, an improved adhesion system, and an ultra-strong aramid tension member. The belt is extremely resistant to oils.

Another new launch is the CONTISYNCHROFORCEEXTREME. This leading product for drives with pulsating forces and torques is based on a refined HNBR polymer and – together with its PTFE fabric and high-purity glass fibre cord tension member – ensures perfectly reliable transmission of shock movements, like those occurring in gardening and industrial equipment. The belt’s lower coefficient of friction makes it much more resistant to wear.

ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group has expanded its product range with the SICON enclosed conveyor system and MAXOFLEX sidewall belts.

The SICON belt is capable of negotiating small-radius bends, thus eliminating the need for transfer stations. It remains closed from the feeding point to the discharge point, and is closed on the return side as well to prevent dust buildup and soiling of the conveyor system due to spillage.

The MAXOFLEX sidewall belt can be used to transport all types of bulk material at inclines of up to 90degrees.

The belt is oil-, grease and heat-resistant or flame-retardant, and its distinguishing features are an extra-high degree of traverse stability combined with good longitudinal flexibility. It is available with textile or steel-cord tensile members and sidewalls of up to 600mm in height.

Air actuators made by ContiTech Air Spring Systems are the ideal solution whenever space is limited and high forces need to be applied in lifting and pressing applications. They are capable of taking on even the most difficult industrial pneumatics tasks. The products from ContiTech Air Spring Systems demonstrate outstanding performance features again and again: For instance, ContiTech supplied the air spring for the French TGV, which has set a new world speed record of 574.8km/h.

And ContiTech scores in the air as well – with products such as Flightfloor from the surface specialists at Benecke-Kaliko. The flooring combines unequalled wear and impact resistance with exceptional design. And the customer has a wide range of colours and surface structures to pick from. Flightfloor thus reveals itself as a floor carpeting of a thousand faces. Whether with a metallising or marmorised surface effect, in a textile look with a felted or jeansy touch to it – or in an attractive

salt-and-pepper appearance, Flightfloor is a strong choice at first glance and on later inspection as well. And of special interest – the flooring is also available in a 3-D variation with an impressive illusion of depth. This premium product’s broad range of colours and attractive grain structures makes for a high-quality ambience, not only in the aircraft but also in all airport passenger areas.

Although providing the utmost safety, lightweight fuel tanks from Continental are nonetheless extremely flexible for easy mounting in difficult spaces such as in aircraft, helicopters, boats and many vehicles.
