Solid state compass

EZ-COMPASS-3A, -3AV and -3AH is a new series of miniature magnetometer compasses with tilt and temperature compensation from Variohm Eurosensor Ltd.

The 1.5-inx2-inx0.5-in module generates heading, pitch, roll, three axis magnetic field and temperature over RS232, RS422 and RS485 ports.

Built around solid-state components, EZ-COMPASS-3A measures tilt angles up to

±90 arcdeg in both axis. Standard version includes hard and soft iron calibrations, linear correction for tilt and ability to operate in a stand-alone mode with a remote LCD.

EZ-COMPASS-3AV and EZ-COMPASS-3AH fit 0.9-in diameter tubular enclosure small enough for towed array and mooring applications. High rate of throughput coupled with low power consumption and small size make it a perfect choice for marine and land navigation, vehicle and structure positioning, construction and underwater applications among others.
