Touchscreens utilise surface acoustic wave technology

Paul Boughton

DisplayTouch has introduced a brand new range of touchscreens utilising Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology to serve customers seeking full two-point touch functionality, durability and aesthetics without the cost-implications of capacitive touch. The new range will offer screen sizes from 10.1-in to 42-in.

Brendan O'Reilly is Product Manager for DisplayTouch and explains what the SAW technology can offer customers: "SAW is the perfect mid-range technology for retail, self-service kiosks, gaming and entertainment applications which don't necessarily need the additional refinements of PCAP. It offers pinch, zoom and swipe gesturing, as well as excellent durability and longevity."
