Olea Sensor Networks has developed a sensor system which has the unique ability to differentiate between live animate beings and inanimate objects up to a 5m distance for both moving and stationary applications.
The OleaVision technology provides the ability to ‘see’ a living being, even through walls and regardless of whether the monitored subject is moving or motionless, and to distinguish between human and animal presence and movement. This has broad application in the automotive/transportation, industrial, smart home and security systems markets for pedestrian and bystander detection, animate-being detection (such as a sleeping child or pet accidentally left behind in a closed vehicle), collision avoidance, intrusion detection, fire safety and energy management.

The sensor is part of the OS–3001 Intelligent Multi-Sensor Platform. This is a handheld/wearable, wireless, intelligent, multi–sensor data acquisition platform in a form factor the size of a typical smartphone.
It serves as a sensor hub with various on-board intelligent sensors and does not require direct contact with the monitored subject. It is designed for use with Olea’s sensor analytics software and, optionally, its cloud–based service solutions that take full advantage of Olea’s IoT Intelligent Partitioning Architecture. OleaVision extends this Olea platform with increasingly advanced intelligent sensors and sensor networks.
